The Road on Jura, there is only one road to navigate by. It emerges out of the wilderness in the north, and traces the shoreline on its winding journey south leading to the distillery. It's a rare man-made feature on our untamed landscape and it's all we need to get by. Here, we keep things simple. We choose to leave the complexity to our whisky.

Matured in American White Oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced with a warm finish from hand-selected sherry casks which previously held twenty year old Pedro Ximénez. Autumn gold in colour with aromas of fresh apricots, bergamot and molasses; folloew by rich coffee, toasted pistachios and cinnamon in the aftertaste.
(번역) American White Oak 엑스 버번 배럴에서 숙성하고 20년 된 Pedro Ximénez를 보관했던 손수 선택된 셰리 캐스크의 따뜻한 피니쉬로 강화되었습니다. 신선한 살구, 베르가못, 당밀의 향과 함께 가을의 황금색; 진한 커피, 구운 피스타치오, 계피가 뒷맛으로 이어집니다.

 

20년 된 셰리와인 캐스크에서 숙성된 질좋은 위스키. 위스키의 맛에 처음 눈뜨게 해준 깊은 향이 인상적인 위스키였다.

 

 

향은?

후각세포를 간지럽히는 알콜향과 진한 피트의 향. 질좋은 오동나무의 향과 깊은 숲속 사찰에 온듯한 편안함이 돋보인다.

 

맛은?

와.. 평소 먹었던 막 알콜맛만 나던 위스키들이랑 다르다. 어떻게 다르냐면, 0.1초 당분이 없는 사과 즙 맛이 났다가 0.5초 소나기내린 숲의 향이 확 퍼짐. 0.4초 꿀 같은 질감의 단맛이 느껴지더니 그제서야 알콜이 섞인 위스키 향이 퍼진다(이때는 단맛이 없음). 이때 퍼지는 위스키 본연의 향도 얼핏 잘 숙성된 발효빵의 맛이 느껴지기도 했다. 온더락으로 마실땐 얼음이 녹을수록 알콜이 아니라 단맛이 길어짐.
